We’re making DIY Halloween decorations. This time giant Halloween pumpkins that are Harry Potter inspired like Rubeus Hagrid’s pumpkin patch outside his hut in the garden from the Harry Potter movies by sculpting them from foam and hard coating them with fiberglass resin. We wanted to make several of these DIY Halloween props in different larger sizes of pumpkins than normal to turn our home into hogwarts. We just absolutely love the large pumpkins from Harry Potter and the prisoner of azkaban in the scene with Buckbeak at Hagrids hut. There are so many magical huge pumpkins that the kids hide behind. Honestly we just wanted to bring some magic to life and see our son playing around some big pumpkins of his own. These Halloween decorations will go in our pumpkin patch Halloween display home haunt. If your a Potter Collector you will need some of these ginormous gourds for you collection. We also plan on making a lifesize scarecrow Halloween prop to go in the yard display like the one in the movie. In this video we share a little of the process of sculpting, mold making, and making of these huge fiberglass pumpkin props. We even share a little bit of prepping and painting followed by our son having a It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown moment rolling them around at the park during a photo shoot. Thanks for watching and we will see you next time.
