Are You A Penguin? -- Inspirational Life Lessons w/ Stephen Baars -- Motivation, Inspiration, And More
Are you a penguin? In today’s video, you’ll listen to Stephen Baars give one of his many inspirational life lessons. These life lessons will help you gain motivation, inspiration, and more!
If you’re wondering why you would be interested in a talk about penguins, it’s because each animal actually has a unique lesson to teach us about life -- we can learn something from every animal that will help us live a better life.
Believe it or not, penguins can’t tell each other apart visually. The way that they tell each other apart, is by listening for a unique sound that each individual penguin makes. This is really incredible and is a really interesting feature of the penguins.
Penguins have a baby penguin kindergarten of sorts. When one of the parent penguins has to travel and get food, they leave the baby penguin behind with other parent penguin that looks after the young. What makes this situation unique and potentially troublesome, is that vultures typically will steal baby penguins when the penguins are in a large group, because the older parent penguins aren’t able to tell the baby penguins apart from each other. If penguins were smart, they would do their best to protect all the other penguins around them. If they did this, every penguin would be safe. Why is this important? If humans do their best to protect every child and every human, then we will have a peaceful society for everyone to live in.
If Steve Jobs would have been born 20 years earlier before computers, would we have ever heard of him? If Warren Buffet had been born at a time when his mentor Benjamin Graham wasn’t around, would he become the great financier? I believe that these people would have achieved the greatness they achieved no matter when they were around. What made them successful was the unique ways they thought about challenges. Learning what these individuals did wont’ help you, but learning how they think, will.
