Wendi Lynch of Aerial Yoga Hawaii teaches you an upper body and core exersice you can practice to increase your strength and control in Aerial Yoga or aerial dance. You can do this exercise at home or in the studio since it is done on the floor rather than in the hammock.
The exercise is called Dog & Skateboard and uses a piece of fabric to slide yourself across the floor in plank position, Wendi demonstrates a 3 part progression so you can modify the position to your current ability. Regularly practicing Dog & Skateboard will strengthen your core and bring fluidity and greater ease to your Aerial Yoga practice.
